Privacy policy

In short

Huhu does not collect personal data about children or parents. No sign-up, no accounts, no ads and no tracking.

Who we are

Huhu is made and maintained by BYTEWISE d.o.o., J. J. Strossmayera 341, 31000 Osijek, Croatia, OIB 15962815542 (bytewise.hr). For privacy questions write to [email protected].

What is stored on the device

Your child’s age, chosen needs, play time, game progress and the unlock are stored only in the browser on this device. This data never leaves the device and we have no access to it.

What we do not collect

We do not collect names, photos, voice, location, contacts or device data. The app does not use the microphone or camera, tracking cookies, analytics or third-party advertising tools.

The owl’s voice

The owl speaks using the voice built into your device. What it says is never sent to the internet.

Motion sensor

Tilt games use the device’s motion sensor only while the game is running. This data is not stored or sent anywhere.

Server

The app and website are served through the Cloudflare network (Cloudflare, Inc.). Like any web server, Cloudflare may briefly log technical data such as the IP address for operation and protection against attacks. We do not use this data to identify users.

Payment

Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy LLC), which sells on behalf of BYTEWISE d.o.o. and takes care of payment, invoice and VAT under its own privacy policy. We never see card details. Lemon Squeezy only tells us the buyer’s email and the amount, for invoicing and support. When unlocking, the app sends Lemon Squeezy the licence key and a short device name (e.g. “Huhu · iPhone”), so a key works on at most 5 devices, and then once a week the key and activation ID to check the device is still active. Nothing about your child is sent.

Children

The app is meant for children aged 2 to 8 under parental supervision. Because we collect no personal data, we ask children for no data and no consent.

Your rights

You can delete all data on the device with the “Start over” button in the parent corner or by clearing the browser data. Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you may lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (azop.hr).

Changes

If we change this policy, we will publish the new text in the app with a new date.
